TRAINING CLINICIANS
The training materials for primary care clinicians are provided in two different formats. The first and recommended format is for a two hour workshop. The optimum group size is 10 to 12 clinicians, but the workshop has been used with group sizes of 3 to 25 participants. The Clinician Participant Manual contains all of the material necessary for the workshop. It also serves as a reference source. The Facilitator Training Guide provides detailed instructions for a clinician leader to conduct the two-hour workshop. A PowerPoint slide presentation and an eighteen-minute DVD/video in either DVD/video or VHS format is used to illustrate key aspects of the depression care process.

For some practices a two-hour workshop is not possible. Also clinicians who miss a two-hour workshop may need orientation to 3CM™. Accordingly, for these purposes a one-hour condensed Academic Detailing version is available.
